Having joined Midway in 2020, Doug Massey has over 27 years’ experience in the forest products industry at senior management level. Before moving to Australia, he worked in the forestry department of a major Japanese paper company gaining invaluable experience dealing with woodchip suppliers from around the globe. Over the past 20 years he has worked at the senior level of an Australian plantation forestry and sawmilling company, a state government business enterprise and has consulted for major plantation investment groups and pulp and paper companies. His experiences include woodchip procurement and sales, forestry asset acquisition and divestment, product development as well as government and stakeholder engagement.
