Leadership Team

Tony has broad experience in private investment, M&A, and agribusiness. He was Managing Director of Ruyi Australia Group, part of Shandong Ruyi Technology, a Chinese multinational group, from 2016 to 2022. During that time, he was responsible for the operations of Cubbie Station, Australia’s largest cotton farm, and Lempriere Wool, an international wool processing and trading business. Prior to 2016, Tony was CEO of Lempriere Capital, a private investment group specialising in agribusiness, and Executive Director of agri funds manager AgCAP. Tony was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 24 January 2022.

Hamish has joined Midway 2023 as General Manager Plantations and Carbon. Hamish has over 15 years of experience working in the private forestry and timber processing sector and most recently managed AKD’s Sawmill, Forestry and Carbon Operations throughout Australia. Hamish also spent 10 years in the mining industry for Iluka Resources managing Mineral Sands mines across Australia during both the production and rehabilitation phases of the mining sequence. Hamish holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and a Diploma in Forestry Management.

Stephen joined Midway in 1994 and is currently General Manager Marketing. Stephen holds forestry qualifications and has over 30 years of experience in resource supply, operations and plantation estate management and experience in forest management and operations.

Michael  commenced at Midway upon listing on the ASX and is responsible for all accounting, tax, group forecasting and capital management. He is the Company Secretary for SWF and QCE.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant with over 17 years senior finance experience. He spent eight years at KPMG Melbourne working in the consumer, industrial and energy segment with a focus on financial reporting and advisory, taxation and audit. Michael also held senior finance roles at Alcoa Australia Rolled Products.

Ben joined Midway in 2017.  He has worked in the forest industry for over 20 years in forest planning, plantation establishment, resource analysis and due diligence.  Ben has experience across all major plantation regions of Australia with both hardwood and softwood plantations.  He holds bachelor degrees in Forest Science and Science (Ecology) from The University of Melbourne.

Adin joined Midway in early 2019. He holds a NZ Certificate in Forestry, along with a Bachelor degree in Economics & Management. A career forester with 37 years in the industry, he has a wealth of experience in executive management, strategic planning, operations and supply chain management; including international tours of duty in Indonesia, South America and SE China.
